 Targeted measures can achieve a lot – for example, when the problem is to raise product quality at short notice on a no longer new plant. A Spanish polyolefin producer who complained of too much dust and „angel hair” in his end product pellets agrees with this now.
The key word is „complained,” because after an actual-condition documentation, specific problem solutions will be developed together with Coperion process engineers and product specialists. Special by-pass elbows and new pipes with a shot-blasted inner surface were used and the pipe routing, all cross sections, and feeds were optimized. The result was pellets with a reduced content of dust and angel hair, and in return, a 25% faster conveying rate!
